by around 60 cents per liter, reaching more than 16.50 DH/L. The price of gasoline remained unchanged (17.78DH/L), except for a few minor variations depending on the distributors.
This increase thus confirms the forecasts of analysts who have said that the rise in prices at the pump will continue until they reach 20 Dhs per liter. This Saturday is the fifth increase in the space of a month.
As a reminder, Leila Benali, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, returned, during her speech during the Press Confidences program on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, to the file of the Samir refinery, which is located today at a standstill due to financial difficulties and is subject to judicial liquidation proceedings.
Leila Benali stressed that Samir's case is very complicated, "due to the problems that have accumulated over twenty years between the investor and the government" and that the case is in the hands of international justice while specifying that reflection had been initiated on technical, economic and financial solutions.
